Then, Jack was screaming. The noise. The poor man was genuinely frightened and this got the angel moving forwards holding onto his jumped lover. The trauma of being shot at on his world. No wonder Jack was so scared. Balthazar just stilled himself for a few moments holding the lighter man and nuzzling into his neck.
"It's alright, I've got you."
Then, he was laughing, so the angel released the embrace, but not before pressing a kiss to Jack's lips. He seemed to be ok, for now. But, as for their "bed"...that was in a very poor state indeed. Also, the noise might have alerted the carnival people, so they would have to vacate fast.
"We'd better leave, love. In case the noise attracted the carnival workers. Let me just get up a moment---shit!--"
Balthazar went to stand up but the castle was unstable and he ended up with shaky legs, near collapsing onto Jack and rolling halfway down the other end. The angel was in near stitches, naked and legs spread wide open just laughing.
