Isamu could not believe that he was doing this. Somewhere between Jack claiming he had a library and Minoru muttering something about ‘interdimensional studies, isn’t that what we came here for?’ Isamu agreed to step into a post-apocalyptic Hunger City to help play Santa Claus.
Minoru, of course, needed no convincing. This was his idea, and he’d weighed both of their packs down with gifts for every member of Jack’s family, along with food. It wasn’t called Hunger City for nothing.
Together, the twins hopped through the gateway into another world. (The first time either of them had visited one that wasn’t their own since moving to the Nexus earlier in the year.) What they saw on the other side was definitely more than either of them bargained for.
