Isamu was the first to recognize the area for what it was.

“This is Central Park... or at least, at one time, it was.” As he looked around, he noticed all the details that had effective turned this once bustling American city into the equivalent of a third world country. “This is... extremely unsettling. Minoru, did you see the size of that rodent? And Jack says the plague is carried on the fog...”

“Could be two plagues.” He gulped as well, catching a glimpse of a skeleton in a rusted car that had clearly been there for quite some time.

“That does not make it better.”

He looked away, instead scanning the white for a big spot of orange. When Jack approached, Minoru gave him a friendly, but sympathetic hug.

“I was gonna say, you didn’t sugar coat it when you talked about it. But I think you probably did...” he admitted. This was a very sobering, if not outright disturbing, reality of what their own world could turn into. “You doing all right?”

“Pardon, did you say, horses?” Isamu asked after nuzzling Diamond (who looked absolutely adorable in the sweater) and getting a face full of doggy kisses.

Clearly, no one was going to be hailing a cab.
